2018 is here – some thoughts!

Hi everyone!  I hope that everyone had a restful and enjoyable time over the holidays.  We spent time with family, went on a trip to Williamsburg, VA with family and had 2 holiday celebrations.  I had a bad headache on New Years Eve, so I went to bed early and my husband and kids went to a party at a friends house.  We keep holidays pretty simple around here.  I don’t do resolutions, but I do reflect on what I would like to accomplish for the upcoming year.  This year is different that other years, though, and I really have no set plan.  There are certain things I would like to accomplish or see happen for my future, but I also have to keep in mind what I am able to handle without creating any stress.  I’m careful in watching “how many doors I open up at once”.  It’s exciting to have so many opportunities coming up, but I am alway cautious about accepting them.  I’ve learned to trust in Beckett and my spirit helpers with what I will be guided to do and they help me decipher different situations so I can see the perspective I need to see.

There is a calm in just stepping back and trying to participate in your life as an observer at times.  Sometimes we get so caught up in thinking and analyzing our every move and step, but working with spirit and learning from doing healings with people, I have learned that it isn’t always helping.  Sometimes giving up as much control as you can handle and trusting in the guidance you receive will lead you right where you feel comfortable without all that struggle and thinking.  Get out of your own way!!  I have met some pretty high strung people, people who seem to genuinely want to heal, but they make up excuses about why they can’t or don’t put the effort forth (time, money, support) or they are so comfortable with the drama and pain, they really aren’t wanting to release it or make changes to make things easier.  These are all things that hinder healing and getting physical responses.  Sometimes you just have to step back, try something new, stop anticipating things to be difficult, put your arms up in the air and try to enjoy the ride!  If you get scared, there is always someone either in person or in spirit who will help you – just trust that you will be okay.  Make 2018 the year that you really take time to enjoy your life and do things for yourself!  I look forward to all the fun and interesting experiences 2018 will bring!
